Response from Stephen Silver

I wrote a quick note to the man himself asking for some tips on how he goes about redesigning characters and if he had any advice for me. I got this response today:

I always start off with basic shapes and then i build upon that. the key is to keep it loose, nail down your construction and then start to refine. Hope that helps a little more
